Privacy notes

What this site stores, why, and how to get it removed. Short version: as little as possible.

This is a personal website. It doesn't sell data, show ads or build profiles of visitors.

Contact form

When you send a message, your name, email and message are stored in this site's database so I can read and reply to it. Delete requests are welcome through the same form.

Comments

Comments store the name, optional website and text you submit. They're reviewed before being published, and once published they're public.

Newsletter

Subscribing stores your email address and its status (pending, confirmed or unsubscribed) in this site's own database. If confirmation emails are enabled, you'll get one to confirm the subscription. Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Emails are delivered through an email delivery service, which receives only what it needs to send them.

Abuse protection

To limit spam, forms count submissions per visitor for a short time window. Only a salted, one-way hash of the IP address is stored, never the address itself.

Analytics

If analytics is enabled, Google Analytics loads only after you opt in from the banner, and never when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. Advertising features are disabled. You can change your choice at any time from "Analytics settings" in the footer.

Hosting

The site runs on OpenAI Sites (Cloudflare's network), which processes normal web requests to deliver the pages.
